Lick Observatory Wind Turbine Project
Project Stage/Status: Proposal Completion/Paused
Project Description: This project will put wind turbines (100 kw each) on Mt. Hamilton at UCSC’s Lick Observatory.
Key Stakeholders: Primarily SEC Wind Campaign Coordinators, however, this project benefits all students, staff, faculty and administration because of the energy cost savings and reduced CO2 emissions.
Next Steps: Solidify faculty support and obtain funding for an EIR and engineering review that will cost approximately $155,000. If you are interested come to SEC's General Gatherings every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm in the College 8 Red Room.

Green Campus – Laundry Room Efficiency Campaign

Project Description: This will be an educational campaign to reduce use of dryers and the increase use of cold water in the laundry rooms.
Key Stakeholders: Green Campus, Residential Life, Colleges
Next Steps: Start making outreach materials.
