SEC Students for Organic Solutions (SOS) Campaign
Project Stage/Status: Implementation/Active
Project Description: This year SOS coordinators are teaching the College 8 garden course for fall, winter and spring quarters. SOS is also hosting the Gardener’s Alliance, which aims to gather students from all of the campus gardens to share resources and collaborate.

Next Steps: Talk to the Students for Organic Solutions co-chairs at the next SEC General Gathering every Wednesday at 6:30pm in the College 8 Red Room.

Meatless Days
Project Stage/Status: Pilot Implemented/ Active
Project Description: One dining hall a week will have one day without meat during any of the meals. This reduces meat consumption and the corresponding environmental impact.
Key Stakeholders: UCSC Dining Services, Students for Organic Solutions, Banana Slugs for Animals.
Next Steps:The initial Meatless Day was in winter quarter at the Crown/Merrill dining hall and now results and student feedback is being processes to determine the feasibility of more Meatless Days.
