Dining Hall Food Re-purposing

Project Description:
Students have developed a food re-purposing project to take leftover food from the dining halls to homeless shelters. The initial food waste audits have revealed that very little food is actually being wasted! Students will continue to conduct food waste audits in the dining halls to find food that can be utilized by local homeless shelters.

Key Stakeholders:
The Good Neighbor Initiative, SEC Waste Campaign and UCSC Dining.

  Come to SEC General Gathering every Wednesday at 6:30pm in the College 8 Red Room to meet with the coordinators.
